So how does a house get so dirty when no one's been here for 3 1/2 weeks?
We got back late yesterday afternoon and haven't stopped since.
We've unpacked. Then we donned spacesuits and cleaned out the refrigerator. It is now the cleanest and emptiest that it will be until next July's trip. And how does... oh never mind... trust me, it needed doing.
Then I was completely hooked by the nifty offers from Verizon and now own one of these:
Except that mine's dark blue. And I got a very bright pink cover for it thrown in for free, so really it's pink. Sorta.
Anyway, getting to know my new toy should be good fun.
More soon! But first, we should really put some food into the shiny clean fridge, huh?

Welcome Home! I always try to do a psychotic house cleaning before we travel, just b/c I know we'll drag enough clutter and dirt in with us when we return. Zorak thinks I'm nuts, but he does seem to appreciate walking into the house all tidied up b/c he usually says, "Wow, it's a lot nicer place than I remembered..." *sigh*
Happy grocery shopping!

omgoodness - you'd love the balloon festival. it's beautiful. It's a 5 hr drive for you (no potty stops). Chicago may have the lakefront. It may have Shedd, and Science and Industry, and a really decent art musuem. It's got shopping, and theater (dang, I'm getting homesick. i better get to the point, already).
chicago does not have balloons like this.
welcome home! I've got a fridge that totally would require a hazmat quit to conquer. I haven't gotten brave enough to tackle it yet though. *sigh*
Welcome home! Glad you made it back in one piece. We leave in 24 days (yes I am counting down) for the Smoky Mountains! I hope to clean before we leave. I hate coming home to a dirty house! I know it will still be a mess with all out luggae everywhere. Nice to have ya back!
Welcome back! It is so much work to come back though, isn't it? Ugh! I feel for you.
Glad to see you back though!
